Alaska, here we come!

After vacation #1 was completed we were on to vacation #2! Kristen dropped us off at the port on Sunday to meet my family for our 7 day Alaska cruise. The trip was an ERMCO trip, but since it was mostly families, we were able to spend almost all of our time with the family. Our ship was the Star princess. They had a movie screen with movies playing most of the day and into the night to watch from the pool.
Kristy and I discovered that we have the exact same ring. Now if only I could match her skin color...

We quickly discovered the best thing about our ship. The International Cafe was a sort of coffee shop in the main lobby area of the ship. The best thing about it? It had wonderful, amazing pastries all day long....for FREE! Eric and I certainly ate our share of delicious goodies. His favorite: Donuts. My favorite: Warm chocolate-chocolate chip cookies.

If you've ever been on a cruise you know that one of the most fun things is eating in the dining room. Every night you can choose an appetizer, salad, soup, entree, and dessert- sometimes you even end up ordering more than one. A funny thing about this cruise is they served some cold soups that seemed more like a cocktail than anything else. I made my sister order this one because I wanted to try it and already had ordered my share of food. It tasted like a Pina Colada, not so much like a soup, but it was good.

More vacation photos to come soon. Warning: I am going to post a lot of pictures since I use my blog to make a photobook at the end of the year. Sorry for the overwhelming information about our vacation. Feel free to read or to skip.

Why have I never been on a cruise? And I had no idea that Eric loves donuts. I don't know why that's so funny to me!
