California

I had a great trip to California last week. I enjoyed 10 days of seeing family and friends. My first day I spent in Santa Cruz and got to see Sarah and her girls and also had dinner with girlfriends that night- so fun!
On Saturday we had a surprise 80th birthday party for my grandma. She did not know that Steve and his family and I were coming. So we hid in the closet when she came...and Steve, Krystal and Lilly came out and she was shocked. Then a few minutes later I came out too and surprised her again. We enjoyed a day at ERMCO with almost the entire family....we were only missing Eric and Kristy.
Cousins....oldest to youngest. Just like the pictures we used to take as kids.
You can't go to California without a trip to In-N-Out Burger. YUM! :) Sarah brought the girls to ERMCO to see they animals. They were so brave and went on a long horseback ride.
I got to spend time with Salinas friends too. Ethan, Emily and Maya are all getting SOO big!

I also got to see my dear friends the Nambas. It was great to see them and their three beautiful boys. Corban was a little shy and didn't quite remember me, Dillon was full of life and giggles, and Elliot was grown up with fantastic hair. **I'm sorry Rob that I don't have any pictures from that night to post on here...I know you have requested to be on the blog. I will be sure to take pictures to post next time! I did enjoy seeing your family though :)

It was a great trip! I'm glad to be home with Eric and back to normal life starting with VBS tomorrow and beginning to set up my classroom- school starts in 2 weeks!!
