Well it's been an eventful week. We successfully moved into our new home with the help of our awesome Missional Community and some friends from Eric's work. Eric's parents arrived once we got everything in the house so they could watch Titus while we unpacked. I'm not sure that we could have done it without all this help! After we moved in, I had to go back to the old house to let the cleaners in and pick up a few things that we left there. I quickly went upstairs to grab something and on my way down I slipped on the stairs and fell on my bum and slid down a few stairs. Not good when you are pregnant and alone in an empty house. Luckily I didn't fall on my stomach and I was able to get up on my own. I figured I should call the doctor to make sure everything was okay with the babies To my surprise, they wanted me to go to the hospital for at least 4 hours of monitoring to make sure the babies were okay. The biggest worry was that my placenta could have detached. Since David and Norma were here I was able to leave Titus with them and go to the hospital. After 4 hours of monitoring, everything was okay with the twins, I got to lay down and listen to their heartbeats the whole time which was nice. Now all I have is a really really sore tailbone. The next day, Eric was working outside and I went out to ask him a question. I walked out the front door and was looking around the yard for Eric and didn't notice that I missed a step on the porch, I tripped and stubbed my toe but luckily caught myself on the railing before I fell completely on my stomach and face. After that, my toe was jammed so bad I could barely walk. I had to have David take me to the doctor the next morning to get it checked out. The doctor thought it was a small hairline fracture which they couldn't do anything about but wait. So I laid around for a day with my foot elevated waiting for it to heal. Within a day and a half I my foot was feeling better and I was able to walk. I am so thankful that we had help here that week since I was such a mess. Hopefully no more falling for me.
