Cannon Beach

We couldn't miss the opportunity to go to the coast when Eric had a few days off in a row. I of course, was a little shocked that we had to drive through SNOW to get to the ocean. I knew it would be cold there, but I wasn't expecting this. It was beautiful though.

We stayed in an awesome hotel right on the water. This is the view from our room. Even though it was cold, it was fun to be there. We will have to go back without a baby sometime. This hotel has a private hot tub overlooking the ocean that you can reserve. We forgot our bathing suits, so we missed out.




The little town of Cannon Beach was cute. The biggest problem was the town pretty much shuts down on Wednesdays which was the one full day we were there. But we still had fun walking around and some of the shops were open. We found his little restaurant called the Tiki Hut for dinner and it was awesome! We look forward to going back just for the awesome hotel and restaurant. (and the beach of course!)

On our drive home, we decided to go through Tillamook to tour the cheese factory. We had to stop many times along the way to take pictures because it was so beautiful.

The cheese factory wasn't really that great. But we did buy some cheese curds that you can only get at the factory because I heard they were awesome. They were delicious. If we are ever in the area again I will stop just for some yummy cheese curds.
