Thirty One.

David and Norma came up to celebrate Eric's 31st birthday. We started the day with a quick trip to Portland to get some donuts from Voodoo Doughnut. It's pretty famous in Portland and known for it's bacon maple bar which is what Eric is eating in this photo. Most of their donuts are pretty over the top, like crushed cookies or cereal on top, but I was surprised at how good their more normal donuts were.

We spent the day wine tasting. We were surprised at how close we live to wineries. How fun! We went to Cooper Mountian, which was really close to us and surrounded by a gorgeous neighborhood that we only dream of. We went on to Ponzi, which was another pretty close location. Finally we went to Oak Knollwhich was the most disappointing of the three. We will visit the first two again. For Eric's birthday dinner, we had a small plate dinner. We actually did this dinner the night before his birthday and had Fondue on his actual birthday. Two yummy meals to honor one special guy.
