Rice Cereal

Well, he's officially growing up. I was trying to hold off on cereal and baby food for as long as possible since it seems so easy to not have to make or pack any food for him. It's nice having it always ready and available, but the pediatrician convinced me otherwise. Apparently, breastfed babies can be sustained on the nutrition of breast milk alone for the first year with the exception of iron that is in rice cereal and they need to learn how to swallow and learn textures before they need the food for nutrition. Plus, Eric thinks that he was jealous of us eating since he is such an observer and he loves to put everything in his mouth. I figured we might as well begin. He did great and has been enjoying his rice cereal and carrots.
