The Big 3-0!

This is a big year for Eric. He turned 30! I tried to make it a special day for him even though he had to go to work. We started with a big breakfast with homemade cinnamon rolls and fresh squeezed orange juice on 'the special plate' of course.

For 30 days leading up to Eric's birthday I had been hiding notes around the apartment telling him 30 reasons why I love him.

When Eric returned from work, Miles was over because I was watching him for a little bit in the afternoon. Miles thinks Eric is a superstar.

Eric opened his gifts from me and the cards that I had been hiding from him. (He always opens them before his birthday and then has nothing left to open on his actual birthday- many of them have money in them so it seems like he is cheating and opening his gifts early. I think he has figured me out and will start asking if he has gotten anything in the mail in the future).

My parents sent $30 in the shape of a 30 along with some other goodies!
My gift to him was a trip to VEGAS with his guy friends! He left the next day and enjoyed the weekend in Vegas with Jeff, Mark and Neil. Great group of guys and it sounds like they had a fun time. He even came home with $7 more than what he left with. I think that's pretty good for being there for a whole weekend. I have no pictures of this trip because nobody brought a camera. Even if they did, I'm sure nobody would have taken any pictures.

After Eric opened his gifts we joined some friends from church at The Melting Pot to enjoy a 3 course fondue dinner.

Happy 30th Birthday, Eric!
