Even though Eric submitted his dissertation (for First Submission at UF) he still has lots of work to do. This month he will be making changes to his dissertation, making final revisions on his four papers that will be sent to scientific journals to be published, working on his presentation for his defense and hopefully a little job searching as well. His defense with his committee members will be on July 20th. After that he will revisions given by his committee to make on this dissertation before he submits it to UF by the final submission deadline which is July 28th. Then, he will walk in his graduation ceremony on August 7th and we will have a Dr. on our hands :) Thanks to everyone for all your love and support, please keep us- Eric especially- in your prayers as this will be a busy time for us. We also still don't know what the Lord has in store for us after graduation. We will be celebrating with family on a Mediterranean Cruise after graduation and then I will begin teaching when we return unless a door opens up somewhere else. We are praying that there will be a job that is available for Eric in September. We do have the option of moving to Maryland for a 1-2 year post doc position with his advisor. We are praying that the Lord makes it clear to us the best decision. We'll keep you updated....
