We went to Tampa for A Weekend to Remember- a marriage conference with Family Life. On Saturday evening, the conference scheduled for everyone to have a special 'date night'. We went and had a small dinner and then went to Bern's Steakhouse. Bern's has the largest wine list in the world- it's a book! Upstairs they have a 'dessert room' which is essentially another restaurant that just serves dessert. The restaurant had that coolest atmosphere. It was an old shopping center that they converted room by room to a large restaurant. The dessert room is decorated with old wooden wine vats so each table is surrounded by these large wooden walls with the exception of a doorway to get into your private little room. The menu upstairs was amazing as well, 2 pages of desserts, and about 25 of dessert wines and liqueurs. It was an experience. Probably the fanciest restaurant either of us have ever eaten in, and certainly the most expensive dessert we have ever had but it was worth it. I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures of the restaurant but

My most recent tailgating treat. Layered blue and orange Jell-O jigglers. Yum :)
Jeff flew into Orlando last weekend because he is on a pastoral search committee for his church and was checking out a pastor. We were able to spend part of the weekend with him which was a fun treat. We went to Universal's City Walk which is why Eric and Jeff are standing by a 'Jaws' sign.

The Food and Wine Festival is going on at EPCOT. Which means we are spending most weekends there. We enjoyed a trip by ourselves and got to meet up with some friends and then we enjoyed a weekend with Eric's parents.

We had an eventful weekend of transportation difficulties. All in one day we had the hotel shuttle break down on us so we had to take the Monorail which broke down and then we waited an hour in the sun for the shuttle home thinking it was late but we had read the schedule wrong. Then we decided to go on a ride right before the fireworks which broke down about 10 yards from the end of the ride where we waited through the fireworks show and exited the ride probably seconds after the fireworks finale! Despite our difficulties we had a good weekend.
This is what we were staring at as we were waiting for the ride to resume.More pictures to come next weekend after more fun at the Food and Wine Festival! :)
